Title: SUPER TUESDAY
Description: Who are YOU voting for?
Sweet Clementine - February 4, 2008 07:14 PM (GMT)
Who are you voting for? If you live outside of the US or are under 18, who would you like to see win?
Of course, I'm for Obama. I always have been. I honestly believe that he would be the best candidate for President, because he has an actual vision for what we could be, not just what we've already been. There's a light in him that I don't see in that many people, and I'm praying that he'll get the nomination! :D
OBAMA WILL GET IT! I believe in him!!! :nanner: :nanner: :nanner:
DO NOT use this thread as an excuse to get pissy with one another. Let's all be civil!
Reply/Vote away!!!!

Well...given the choice, id go for Barack Obama. I think he's actually quite reasonable and sensible. It would be inspiring to youths i think to have him. Personally though...all the candidates dont really represent my views but Barack is the closest because he seems to be the most sensible.
Sweet Clementine - February 5, 2008 02:34 PM (GMT)
Yay!
Gah, I keep forgetting that about 90% of this board lives outside the US. This was pointless.
Lucifer's Angel - February 5, 2008 05:01 PM (GMT)
I have no clue, I don't see any independent candidates in that poll, Dorotea. I'm not a Republican or a Democrat, I am independent, and politically speaking, I am a libertarian. I dislike both parties, to me they are clones of each other and that is no choice. I'd rather vote for Mickey Mouse than most candidates from either party. I dislike Bush, but I dislike the majority of the mainstream candidates. The only one of the above I like Ron Paul, though. He's a libertarian who runs under the Republican banner because in Texas, independents have trouble getting elected. I like most of his stands, and it's great to see someone up there who actually seems to give a shit about the American people, unlike Bush :)
Sweet Clementine - February 5, 2008 06:05 PM (GMT)
I think it's good that you have that attitude. I'm an independent, but I sadly realize that an independent candidate will not win.
heavymetalhippy01cg - February 5, 2008 08:40 PM (GMT)
Well heck im an anarchist so...chances her i might not actually vote but then again...the idea of a republican govt makes me eurgh...with a democrat govt there might be a slight change...slight....with a republican i know it wont get better...*sigh* Its just not democratic...its a facade.

Yeah, Ron Paul is the shit, I agree with you.
However, I think my vote is going for Obama. I agree with a lot of the issues he is passionate about, and, despite his greenness, I believe he could make a huge change in our society.

I think that's a good thing. No offence, but I've been on boards with mainly Americans and it's a whole different atmosphere. And one I can't seem to connect with I have to say. So, thank god this board has many 'rest-of-world' members on it.
To the topic. I haven't investigated myself into the candidates ideas TOO much. But I have to say I don't feel anything for republican ideas and candidates. IMO, it'd be good if either Hillary or Obama would win.
And for christ sake I hope America's foreign policies change this time. It's time to stop the goddamn wars!
And, I think America should do more to save the environment and climate. Over here we do all kinds of ridiculous shit to 'help saving the climate', but I always feel stupid about it since America seems to give the issue the big finger.

I'm not a fan off this stuff...

If you're not a fan of it, then please don't respond to it.
I didn't mean to make it out like no one outside the US cared, but it does lower interest.

I feel the same. Without the US' colaboration it's an impossible matter, sad but true. And the environment and the damage humans are causing is one of my biggest worries. It's kind of depressing.

I'm not american but I'm interested on this vote, I think it's important.
I do hope that the final winner will be Barak Obama, or at least Hillary Clinton.
And I'm worried about all that climate stuff too, and I agree about the fact that without US cooperation it would be hard to solve the problem out, or better, to start to do something significantly.

I don't know much about politics, but I try to follow this.
It is a bit difficult to find out how it works, and how many voters someone needs to have, and stuff.... But I think I figured it out a bit.
I voted for Obama. I don't know what I am (on political terms like republican, liberal etc.) but the republicans doesn't suit me. I've seen some bits of obama speeches and they where good. I hope he can make a great positive change if he becomes president. (I hope whoever gets to be president will make a great positive change

heavymetalhippy01cg - February 8, 2008 12:35 PM (GMT)
dont hold ur breath...maybe just a few changes will make people feel better. The fundraising bit is a joke though, i think rupert murdoch is supporting hilary clinton...git.
Sweet Clementine - February 8, 2008 02:11 PM (GMT)
Obama is leading Cinton in fundraising and she's actually hurting for money. Some of her staff has been fired also. Obama is demanding for Clinton to show her tax returns to see how she'd really handle money. Gutsy move, but I love the Gutsiness about Obama! :nanner:
JumpInTheFire - February 8, 2008 07:58 PM (GMT)
Ron Paul baby, all the way :nanner: :horns2

why she firing people? thats not the best thing to do in an election.
Sweet Clementine - February 11, 2008 03:46 PM (GMT)
Probably because she's angry about the election turnouts.

Totally agree :) I'd be happy if Obama won and I would be happy if Clinton won

Sweet Clementine - February 12, 2008 08:31 PM (GMT)
Exactly. That's what I worry about with Clinton. She can be wishy-washy and impulsive.
Potomac Primaries are today. I'm hoping for Obama to lay the smackdown XD
