I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I have a question. Are my captions considered post whoring? After all, they have no real substance and don't contribute to an on going conversation. But they are not done to annoy, disrupt, or increase my post count.

I actually think your captions do add to the conversation :wink


I think as long as you don't do 70 a day, every day, it's all fine. Post whoring was an issue on the other board, and it's an issue here too, because I do think it is quite disruptive. What I think some people were defining as postwhoring is seeing one user's name straight down the page as the last post in every topic. I think that's what bothered some people. And I don't blame them. I have never considered you guity of postwhoring. Caption away. :D

I also asked myself if I was a postwhore :blush: hope not anyways. :P

I do post alot but I do not see my self as a post whore ,a post whore to me is someone that post for no reason and not say much but emotions etc..and people that go all down the page and post in threads that are not even being posted in anymore,I only post in threads that are always active and I never just post one liners etc...Some people may see me as a post whore but I do not post to get my post count up I do not care about that, I post in threads that I like and that are always being posted in and when I wanna post in them threads I will, it is not to post whore I just am addicted to this forum and get on with a load of great people and love coming here.

I'm considered as a postwhore but I'm surely not. I don't care about my post count and I come over here to have my regular chats with some people. I also try to post interesting and funny things, and I know there are a few people that have fun reading my chats with concrete people because they think they're funny or whatever :) But I'm sure that my posts have a substance and I always try to say something with them.
And yes, I'm addicted to this forum, it's always the same with me: at the beginning I post a lot, then just regularly and then I just come over and have a look at the posts.
It's the same with other forums I'm registered in.

I suppose i'm a postwhore coz i have my name going right down the page on several occasions! But, i don't mean 2 postwhore, I just enjoy posting and talking to loads of people on lots of different subjects, it makes things more interesting! :P

My name is usually down every thing on the board, but that's only cause I'm in a different time zone, and no one is on to reply to me when I'm on.
