Description: another side of metallica

Ktulu - August 20, 2008 09:58 AM (GMT)
It's me again with another try. Hope it goes better than the other one.
I know witchcraft and magic is a theme in some of the fanfics here. This is my idea. Hope you like it.

Disclaimer:the following is a work of fiction. No harm intended.
There will be alot to explain but I promise I will try and make it easy to read.
Give me an honest opinion, please...
Without further ado...

Part 1:

Lars startled violently as the clock began to ring like crazy. He reached to stop the alarm and then rolled in his bed , falling of it. He got up, scratching his head and rubbing his eyes , scanning his room for clean clothes. A pair of white shorts and a white t-shirt were acceptable for him. After getting dressed he went out of his room to go down stairs. At the end of the dark hallway a door opened and a sleepy James came out, pulling the shorts that were stuck in his ass and growled ”Mornin’…”
James went to brush his teeth and Lars went down stairs .

“What took you so long, sleepy head?”an old lady said from the kitchen

“Mornin’ to you too, auntie…” Lars mumbled

“Is James up? He’s going to be late for work if …”

“He’s up, auntie Zelda…”Lars said

“Come on, eat!” his aunt said pulling him onto a chair. Lars glared at the all the food his aunt bothered to cook so early in the morning for him.

“Actually, I’m not that hungry…”Lars said getting up.
His aunt opened her eyes widely and took his face into her hands examining him carefully.

“Lars, are you sick? What’s wrong?” she asked. “ Don’t you like my food?”

“No, no, it’s not that…it’s just …I’m not hungry” Lars defended himself

Just then James came in the kitchen and took a seat. He drank his glass of milk as if it was a shot of vodka and burped loudly.

“James Allan!!!!” his aunt shot

“Sorry auntie…” he sad and began to devour an entire plate of pancakes.

“Easy, you’ll get sick!” his aunt said watching as he ate. It was a pleasure for her to watch people eating and she loved giving them advices on how to eat. Her nephews were her guineeapigs at this chapter.

James rolled his eyes and went on eating some toast.

“Don’t you want some butter?” the lady asked her nephew again.
Instead of an answer, James got up from the table and went out of the kitchen, still chewing his breakfast.

“I guess not…Come on Lars, eat! You’re worrying me…”

James’ laughter from the hallway made the woman and the young man startle.

“Of course he can’t eat…”James said coming back into the kitchen, smirking” His girlfriend is coming back home today”
Lars frowned at him.

“I’ll kill you, you focking…”he said in his mind
“Sure you are, loverboy..”James interrupted his thoughts.

Lars took a bite of some toast and got up.

“Oh, Lars, I didn’t know it was about love…”aunt Zelda said and smiled. Lars rolled his eyes exiting the kitchen. “If there’s anything you want to ask me, I’m here to answer any…”

Lars screamed and ran upstairs. His aunt was the last person he would talk to about the L word.

James was coming down the stairs wearing a Metallica t-shirt and ripped jeans. Lars shrugged and hit him with his shoulder. In a split second James turned around and grabbed Lars’ hair.

“AAAARRRGGGGHHH!!!”Lars screamed and reached to pull James hair.

“What on earth are you two doing?!!” their aunt yelled from the kitchen door. “What is the matter with you two? Is this how I raised you? You’re brothers for crying out loud!”

James let go of Lars, plopped on the last step of the stairs and took his sneakers.

“Just because we had the bad luck to have the same mother doesn’t mean that I have to let the spoilt brat do whatever he wants...” he mumbled.

“Well, he is your brother and you have to live with that! You’re not going to work like that, are you?!”

James lifted his face to look at his aunt’s shocked face.

“Here we go again…” he said rolling his eyes.

“Under no circumstances are you wearing that to work, young man! What have you done to your jeans?”

“Nobody gives a f…. I mean nobody cares!” James rose his tone.

“Don’t you scream at me! Go change NOW!”

James sighed, dropped his sneakers and went upstairs to change.

“Don’t you want to be employee of the year like Lars?” he heard his aunt say. He rolled his eyes and began to imitate his aunt.
Lars ran down the stairs, jumped over the last step, put his shoes on and opened the front door.

“Good luck at work, Larsy…oh and on your date…” Zelda said.
Lars shrugged, closing the door behind him. He took a deep breath of the morning air. The wet grass made funny noises as he walked through it to get to the garage and get his bike.
James came down the stairs in a decent pair of jeans and was about o stick his naked foot in his shoes when his aunt came in the hallway to see what he was wearing.

“You’re not wearing your tennis shoes without socks, are you?”

“And why the f...hell not?” James said, exasperated.

“They’ll stink, that’s why!” Zelda explained.” Go get your socks!”
James wasn’t in the mood to run up the stirs again so he snapped his fingers. Two white socks appeared in front of him.
His aunt looked satisfied as her nephew put them on. Then she remembered something.

“Where is that bag of fleas?” she asked and went through the back door. “ It’s not in the back yard…” she said coming back inside.

“Who, Daddy?” James asked. He giggled and opened the front door to leave.

“You know where it is? Why are you laughing? Where is it?” aunt Zelda asked going after him outside.

“Gotta go to work auntie…” James said rising his shoulders and smiling.

“James!” she screamed.

James was already on his way so he waved at her, smirking.
The old woman closed the door behind her and began to scan the living room.

I like Auntie. I like it when old ladies yell at the boys. :) It's good for them. Wow. James and Lars as brothers...This could get very interesting.

This is off to a real good start. :) Can't wait to read more. :horns:

Thanks for the replies.
Here's another LONG chapter for whoever cares to read:

Part 2:

“What was all that noise?” she heard a voice ask.

“Good morning Kirk! I’m sorry, but James just wouldn’t listen.” she explained “Have you seen that bag of fleas?”

Kirk rubbed his eyes and looked at her surprised.

“Isn’t he outside in the cold, where you left him last night?” he asked sarcastically.

“No, he’s not…and it’s not that cold, it’s June !” she said, following him in the kitchen.

“Wow, food!” Kirk said happily. He sat down and began to eat fast.

“Easy, you’ll get sick. I was telling James...”

“I have to go get Mandy. You told me to bring her over, remember?”

“Of course I remember. Isn’t your brother up yet?” she asked.

Kirk checked his watch.

“It’s only 7….” he said rising an eyebrow. “He doesn’t have to go to work today….from what I know…”

“I’ll go check…”the woman said and went upstairs.

“He won’t be too happy to be waken up at this hour…”Kirk mumbled. He remembered something . “Oh, shit !Cliff ! Get up! Room raid!”

Cliff startled and made a move. He was too sleepy, so he just moaned ,turned on the other side and went back to sleep.
There was a knock on the door.

“Cliff…are you up honey?”
Cliff snored.

Zelda tried to open the door but it was locked from the inside.

“Cliff!”Cliff heard Kirk’s voice in his head.

“What!!!????” he growled

Just then he heard the lock on the door pop and fall on the ground and the door opened.

“What on earth is this bag of fleas doing in your bed???!!!???” his aunt yelled.

Cliff startled and got up .Right next to him, a grey wolf was resting his head on the pillow.

“Shit!” Cliff whispered.

“I thought I told you NOT to bring it in the house again! It’s full of fleas!” Zelda lectured him.

“But aunt Zelda, it’s cold outside. He would freeze to death…” Cliff explained innocently.

“No it won’t, it’s just an animal!”

“Just an animal?! It’s not just any animal, it’s our guide, our savior, our companion…He helped us find you, remember?” Cliff lectured her. He got up and put his jeans on.”And why did you have to come break my door down so early in the morning?”

“Are you working today?” his aunt asked.

Cliff took a second to think.

“Yeah, miss Jefferson’s kid…” he mumbled going out of the room. The wolf followed him. When he reached the stairs, he startled and turned around, livid. He turned and saw his aunt coming out of his room, holding between two fingers a tiny plastic bag with some herbs in it. Cliff gulped.

“What is this, Clifford Lee?” his aunt asked on a calm tone.

“It’s …it’s …”

“Don’t stammer, speak up!” she said using the same calm tone that spooked Cliff.

“It’s some herbs, for potions.” Cliff explained.

“What’s the name of this herb?”

“…..Ummmm, it’s...” Cliff said, trying to find a name that would sound plausible.

“Marijuana?” his aunt asked rising an eyebrow “… by any chance?”

“Noo…no , no” Cliff answered fast and laughed nervously.

“Young man, you are grounded for the rest of the month…” His aunt interrupted him on the same calm tone and went back to his room. She pointed at the door handle and then clenched her fist. The handle popped and fell on the ground just like the lock. She took the handle and the lock and went down stairs, leaving Cliff in shock.

“Nooooo!!! You can’t do this to me! I’m not a kid anymore! I’m 23! Give me my door lock back! I need my privacy!” he screamed running down the stairs after her.

“You lost your right to privacy when you chose to bring drugs in my house! I knew I shouldn’t have let you go to that music college. Waste of time and money. It had a bad influence on you…Plus, now you don’t have a real job. You just sit around the house and if you’re lucky, you give piano lessons. That is not a real job! Are you satisfied with your life?” she ended her lecture turning to her nephew, waiting for an answer.

“As a matter of fact, I AM!” Cliff answered, folding his arms around his chest and looking down at his old, short, annoying aunt.

“You’ve destroyed your life! And now this?” she said showing him the little plastic bag.
“I had higher expectations of you, especially you! You’re the oldest. You should be a role model for your younger brothers! Look at Lars…”

“His the paper boy, BIG cheese!” Cliff said rolling his eyes.

“Yes, and he earns more in a week than you do giving piano lessons in a month! Plus he’s the employee of the year…And James and Kirk...” she said pointing at Kirk who was sitting at the table, looking innocently at Cliff.

“Sorry, but I warned you…”he told Cliff in his mind.

“James fixes cars and Kirk works in that stinky joint…BIG CHEESE!” Cliff said lifting his hands to the sky.

“That joint pays big bucks! I’m sorry Cliff but this is the truth… you can’t go on doing nothing.” his aunt said shaking her head in disapproval .She looked at the plastic bag again and made it disappear into thin air.

Cliff just wanted to tell her the he was doing something with his life but couldn’t. His aunt didn’t know that he and his brothers made a rock band and even recorded an album, “Metal Up Your Ass”. He looked at Kirk who rose his shoulders looking at him with pity.

“…and people at 23 have a real life! Kirk is one year younger than you and he’s engaged… James and Lars are younger than you and they have decent jobs….”she continued her long lecture.

“You know what? I don’t wanna listen to anymore of this crap. I don’t want you to tell me that they’re better than me. Just let me be, ok?” Cliff interrupted her and sat at the table to eat.

Kirk was just getting up.

“I’m sorry I had to take such drastic measures, but you made me do it. When you will start to behave like a 23 year old, responsible man I will let you be. You see, it’s frustrating to see that I failed in educating you properly…” Zelda said on a more mild tone. In a few seconds she burst into tears.

Cliff, who was eating rolled his eyes, got up from the table and left. However, his aunt’s sobs were getting louder and louder and more pathetic so he stopped at the end of the stairs, clenched his fist and sighed. He came back into the kitchen.

“Oh, come on, aunt Zelda….don’t cry. I’m sorry I’m a pain in the ass.”

“Watch your language!” Zelda shot, turning her red eyes to him. She went back to sobbing.

Cliff patted her on the back .When she felt his aunt was calming down he exited the kitchen.

“There could be something you could do to make me feel better...” Zelda said.

Cliff slapped his face , exasperated. He went back into the kitchen.

“You haven’t practiced spells and potions lately and you neglected tarot …”Zelda smiled innocently.

“Aw, man…you know I hate to read tarot cards!” Cliff said.

“It will make me feel better… come on, read your auntie’s future!”

Cliff took a seat at the kitchen table and handed her the stack of greasy cards.

“If I do this, will you leave me alone?” he asked her.

“Sure…” the woman assured him while she shuffled the cards. After she finished, she handed them back to Cliff who arranged the first twelve cards of the stack into a circle. He began to flip the cards to see what they revealed.

“Fortune and fame…” he said after he turned the first card. “Talent...”.He flipped the third card. “… This one is dedication, right?” he asked her, showing it to his aunt.

“Yes, go on…”she said.

“… disappointment…” he went on, rolling his eyes. “At least I got that right… this one is…ummm…vanity? “ he asked showing the fifth card to her. “What the hell is wrong with these stupid cards?”

“You didn’t place them properly! Now only six of twelve are right… Carry on!”

“I told you I hate reading cards!” he said turning another card. “Is this sex?” he laughed very loudly. “Auntie you’re getting laid!”

“Carry on, boy!” she said smiling. “You really are not good at this. It’s lust, not sex!”

“Whatever…” Cliff said and took a deep breath, trying to stop laughing. “Wrong path is …?”

“Punishment.” she answered.

“ Ok,… love,… money,” he said flipping the cards quickly “... bullshit” he said in his mind. He hated doing this stupid readings.

“Come on!” his aunt encouraged him.

“New face….visitor, right?”

“Yes…” his aunt said, waiting.

Cliff turned another card and looked at it. It showed a skeleton in a black robe, holding a scythe. He turned his eyes to his aunt rising an eyebrow. His aunt reached to his hand to see the card but he didn’t let her.

“You, know what? I just remembered I have to practice a song on the piano for the lesson…” he said putting the card back down and scattered the rest all over the table.

“You had two more…” his aunt cried, disappointed. “It’s impossible to make you do something…”

Cliff went out of the kitchen before his aunt could even try and make him come back.
Zelda gathered the cards without shuffling them.

“Let’s see your future, young man…” she whispered and smirked. “ Fame, tension, loss, journey, responsibility (ha!), new face, love (ooooh…), fear, support, decision, other side…., change…” she ended , rising an eyebrow. She didn’t really understand what was the other side doing here. She knew only Lars had the capacity to connect to the other world and talk to ghosts.

“Weird…” she said, rising from the table.

“Bye, aunt Zelda. Be back soon.” Kirk said.

“Bye, Kirk!”

Verity - August 21, 2008 02:21 PM (GMT)
man oh man, Zelda was on a roll. She really let Cliff have it. What a way to start a morning. I kind of understand. My parents are cool, but my grandpa and some other people assume that just because you're a musician that you only work on weekends and lay around the rest of the week eating bon bons. They forget that you have to practice every day and teach and shit. You wrote their arguement very very well. Zelda cracks me up.

Actually, this was whole chapter was very well written. You rocked the dialogue parts really well. It was enganging, fast, and furious.

Cliff reading Zelda's tarot cards was hilarious, especially when he called the "lust" card sex.

I wonder what Zelda saw in his cards. I was worried that she was going to see the band. I can't wait to see what's she's going to do when she finds out that her boys have really formed a rock band. :o

Thanks for reading :D
this part is going to be a bit weird but i have to introduce new characters so it has to be here.

Part 3:

“How’s your aunt, Lars?” his boss asked handing him a big bag with newspapers.

“She’s fine, sir. Never been better…” he answered and took the bag. Lars got on his bike and went to distribute them to the entire block. The first house of the block was actually a trailer .He threw a paper that hit one of the windows.

“Hey, watch it you piece of shit!” said a young man, coming out of the trailer and ran after him but stumbled and fell.

“Dave, leave him alone!” his mother said, coming out of the trailer.

Dave rose his head from the ground, got his ginger long locks from his face and looked back to see what made him stumble. It was a man, lying on the grass, snoring.

“Dad! What are you doing on the ground? Mom was worried sick last night…” he said to the man and reached to wake him up.

“Is that your father?” his mother asked coming closer.

“Yeah, it’s him alright…” Dave answered. “Help me get him in.”

The two pulled the man up, causing him to startle and wake up.

“Who…where am I?” he murmured.

“You’re home, dad! Actually you’re in the yard. Why didn’t you come home last night?”

“….what the…? I was coming home.” the man said.

“You must have past out from all the booze…” his wife explained.

“Good thing I came out and found you. That fucking paper boy almost broke our window!” Dave said angrily.

“Humpf… the paper boy… Doesn’t he live with that witch?” the man said getting up from the ground.

“Yeah… the witch boys…” Dave smirked evilly.

“I don’t know what is your problem with that family. That little old lady is such a sweet woman and her nephews are so nice and hard working… I don’t believe that crap about them being witches…” the woman said.

“Yeah, they all look innocent but one day they will unleash evil on Earth and we all are going to die!!” her husband said, rising his tone at the end of his speech. “I think we would do mankind a favor and burn these parasites alive…”

Dave laughed evilly, accompanied by his father.

“I gotta go…” Dave remembered.

“Won’t you let me fix your hair? Mommy can make you a nice perm…”

Dave looked disgusted at his mother.

“Boys don’t need perms, woman! Leave him alone. What he needs is a hair cut.” the father suggested.

“Both of you are wrong. My hair is perfect. I gotta go…” Dave said leaving the yard.
As he walked by the house next door he saw a nice chick with curly, long black hair taking the morning paper. He studied her from top to bottom. The girl looked at him too and rose an eyebrow. Dave turned his head back to keep on looking at her but stumbled and fell.

“Idiots…” the girl thought and went back inside where a few girls were resting. All of them had some suitcases with them.

“Morning paper?” a girl asked the raven haired that made Dave stumble.

“Yeah… Madame Tzitzi used to read it.” the girl said.
Just then the door bell rang.

“I guess the rest of the girls are here…” she continued and went to open the front door. She returned in the living room with two more girls.

“Well, I guess we’re all here. Welcome. I am Sara Montgomery, Madame Tzitzi’s former student and replacement. As you all know and agreed, you will all live in here and learn even more about witchcraft. I’m sure we’ll get along just fine.” the raven haired ended her speech and looked at the eleven girls that were sitting down on the couch and some chairs and listening carefully to her.

She came closer to a short, Goth girl that was sitting in a corner and raised her face to check her out.

“You’re really young. How old are you?”

“I’m fifteen.” the girl answered shyly.

“Then you will have your initiation this fall.” Sara said, trying to smile politely.
The Goth girl nodded and looked down.

“What’s your story?” Sara asked, kneeling in front of her.

“My mother died after she gave birth to me. I never met my father. I was raised in a house just like this.” the Goth girl said.

“You’ll be fine here. Okay? What’s your name?” Sara asked.

“Sally.” the Goth girl answered dryly.

Sara got up and smiled to the rest of the girls.

“Make yourselves at home. If there’s anything you need, I’m upstairs.” she said and smiled.

After she left the living room, the girls began to talk to each other.

“She has a frozen heart!” a blonde, almost silvery white haired girl, with grey eyes, named Gretel said.

The girls looked at her surprised.

“It can’t be. You die from a frozen heart!” a dark haired girl said, rising an eyebrow.

“Yes, but there is something that keeps her here. I can feel her boiling…” Gretel answered.

“You know what? Me too. I feel this dark aura around her.” a green eyed girl, named Safra added.

“You mean she’s kept alive by hate and need for revenge?” another girl asked.
Gretel nodded as the others shivered with fear.

“That means, do not piss Sara off!” a girl with very long ,dark hair said. “I don’t know about you girls but this moving made me craving for a cigarette…” she joked, changing the subject.

The others laughed as she went outside, lit a cigarette and took a seat on the front porch. Minutes after, the green eyed girl joined.

“Hey! You’re Safra, right?” the girl asked, smiling. Her friendly dark brown eyes sparkled with joy as she saw the new girl taking a seat next to her.

“Yeah. You’re Meredith, I know. The girls inside are talking about boys so I had to get out.” Safra said, rolling her green eyes and running one of her hands trough her messy light brown hair.

Meredith laughed and handed Safra the pack of cigarettes.

“No, I don’t smoke. So what do you do for a living, except for being a witch?” Safra said.

“Well, I played violin in a small orchestra here in San Francisco, but then my parents died and I had to go somewhere… Somebody recommended Madame Tzitzi. But now she’s dead…” Meredith said.

“I ran away from home when I was 12. My foster parents hated me because I had powers.” Safra said, sighing.

“That sucks!” Meredith said but then smiled. “Don’t worry. We’re your family now!”

“Yeah, a lot of sisters, plus Sara.” Safra smiled.” How old are you? I’m 20.”

“I’m 22.” Meredith answered simply, looking up and down the street.

After Meredith finished her cigarette she got up.

“Come on, Safra! Let’s go teach the little girls a little something about boys.”

The thought of Lars Ulrich riding around the neighborhood on a bike with a bag of newspapers really makes my day. :)

And oooooohhhhhh Dave! :D :nanner: :horns: :nanner: :horns: You put my boy in here with his hot, sexy, locks of ginger hair. :dance

“Boys don’t need perms, woman! Leave him alone. What he needs is a hair cut.” the father suggested.

No!!!!!! Never cut Dave's sexy, gorgeous, hair!! :o

“Both of you are wrong. My hair is perfect. I gotta go…” Dave said leaving the yard.

AMEN! :horns2

This is getting very interesting. I'm very interested to find out more about the pack of witch gals who are living down the street. They have like a soritory going on.

I also like the tension between Dave and the "witch boys" I can't wait to find out more about that too.

This story rocks out! :dance

Thanks for reading!
What's a story without Dave Mustaine, right?
This new part is a bit weird and embarasing too, but here goes nothing:

Part 4:

That same afternoon…

Aunt Zelda was sitting on a sofa in the living room, looking at the couple that was sitting on the other sofa, opposite her. There was silence; the only sounds that could be heard were the ticking of the clock and the whistle of the tea pot from the kitchen. The old woman was smiling at the couple, waiting for any word to start a conversation. Kirk took the girl’s hand in his, making the little diamond ring on her finger sparkle in the light of the room.

Finally, the girl took a deep breath and broke the ice.

“Nice house, Mrs. Montgomery.”

“Oh, please Mandy! Call me aunt Zelda.” the old woman said. “I’m glad you like it.”
Then there was silence again…

“…So, what do your parents do, Mandy?” Zelda asked.

“Well, my mother is a sales person for a cosmetics company and my dad is a music teacher.” Mandy said, smiling.
Zelda smiled and nodded absently.
Just then the front door opened and Lars ran upstairs. Zelda got up from the couch, getting ready to go after him but Lars was back down stairs in a second. He came into the living room, breathing fast.

“Hey auntie, Kirk, Mandy!” he said, smiling. “I’m going out. Don’t wait for me!” he said turning to his aunt and then ran outside, before aunt Zelda could ask him anything.

“Love…” Zelda smiled indulgently, turning back to Kirk and Mandy. “I’ll get you two some tea.”
The old woman went to the kitchen to take the tea pot from the cooker and fix them some tea.

In the mean time, Kirk turned to Mandy and gave her a quick kiss. Mandy ran her fingers through his ebony curls and smiled as Kirk put his hand on her leg.

“I like your skirt…”Kirk whispered in her ear. Mandy bit her lower lip and ran her foot up and down his leg.

“I put it on just for you, honey.” she whispered.

Kirk placed his hands around her waist, pulling her close and pressing his lips on hers, but pulled away immediately because he heard his aunt’s footsteps from the hallway.
Kirk and Mandy smiled innocently when the old woman came into the room, holding two cups of tea.

“Such good kids!” she said, smiling and handing them the cups. “It’s wonderful to see innocent love today…”

Kirk turned red and mumbled “…Auntie...” while Mandy looked down at her shoes.

“I hope you’re coming for dinner tonight, Mandy!” Zelda said.

Mandy looked up and smiled, shyly.
“I would love to, if that’s okay with you…”

“Oh, nonsense. From now on we’re family! You can come over anytime.” Zelda said.

After a while, Mandy got up, arranging her black skirt.

“Well, I guess I should be going…”she said.

“Oh, please be back for dinner!” Zelda said, getting up. “I have to go shopping now. take care, you two!”

The old woman went to the kitchen to get her car keys. Mandy and Kirk went to the hallway to put on their shoes and leave.

“You need a lift, Mandy?” Zelda asked as the three of them went outside.

“No thank you! Kirk will walk me home…” the girl said from the front porch, watching Zelda get in her black Cadillac.

“Well then, goodbye!” Zelda said from inside the car.

Kirk and Mandy waved at the old woman, who got out of the car park and take off.
Cliff came out of the house and looked at the two that were still on the front porch.

“Hey Mandy! What’s up?” he asked, checking her out.

“Hey, Cliff! I’m fine. Came to meet your awesome aunt.” she smiled. “Where are you going?”

“Piano lessons…” Cliff mumbled, lighting a cigarette.

Kirk and Mandy looked at each other.

“You know what? I think I forgot something inside…” Mandy said, turning to Cliff. “Kirk, will you help me find it?”

Kirk nodded.

Cliff looked suspiciously at them and mumbled a “Mhm…” sarcastically.

The two waited to see Cliff get off and went back inside. Kirk pressed Mandy onto the front door and kissed her as the girl tried to take off her shoes. After doing that, she began to untie his shirt as he put his hand under her skirt.
Mandy pulled away, breathing heavily.

“Your room…” she said as Kirk nodded and took her by the hand.

I can totally see Zelda driving a big boat like black Cadillac. I think it's funny how she thinks that Kirk and Mandy are so innocent, if she only knew....

Mandy was really smooth at the end with her "I left something inside" trick. :horns:

Poor Cliff having to go off and teach piano lessons. I hope that the students aren't brats. If they are, he should kick their asses.

This story kicks ass! :horns2

Thanks Ashley! I'm glad you like it.
Here's another chapter of my silly little story;
Excuse the grammar and spelling mistakes :biggrin

Part 5:

Lars took a seat on a bench in the park next to a short, blonde girl with freckles. He smiled at her and she smiled back.

“So how was college, babe?” Lars asked the girl.

“It was fine, Lars. I met some cool people…”she said and then took a deep breath, her smile disappearing from her face. She coughed, looking around the park. “Listen, I need to talk to you…”

“But we are talking.” Lars said smiling.

“It’s serious.” the girl said.

Lars frowned and crossed his legs, preparing for the worst.

“Listen, it was really fun in high school. But now I’m at college and we can’t see each other too often. The distance…”the girl stammered.

Lars began to laugh with a tension-full, icy laughter that chilled the girl to the bone.

“Laura, are you kidding me?” he asked, shaking his head.

“Oh, Lars. You know I loved you so much in high school. It’s just that the distance…” she said but didn’t finish because Lars got up from the bench and ran his hands through his light brown hair.

“Lars, I’m sorry! But I don’t think things will work out since you’re here and I’m there…” Laura said.

Lars looked at her as if he didn’t understand what she said.

“Are you breaking up with me?!” he asked, shaking nervously.

Laura looked with pity at him and reached for his hand but he pulled away.

“Is it about a guy?” Lars asked calmly, just like his aunt did when she was furious.
Laura shook her head quickly.

“No, I wouldn’t cheat on you!” she said. “It’s just that things are different now. I’m sure you’ll find a girl that deserves you, Lars.”

Lars looked at her disgusted.

“Do you have any idea how much I love you?” Lars asked, coming closer to her, putting his hands on her shoulders and looking straight into her eyes.

Laura was shaking. They never had a fight before and so, she never saw him so angry.
“I’m so sorry…” she whispered.

“So after all these years you’re breaking up with me because of the distance and say you’re sorry. You’ll have to come up with a better excuse than that.” Lars said and let go of her shoulders. “I’m such a sucker.”

“Lars…” Laura said, rising from the bench.

“Go to your college friends!” Lars cried and took off, not looking at her.

Laura felt the ground shaking under her feet. The wind started blowing all of a sudden.
Lars walked out of the park, tears forming rapidly in his eyes. He felt his nineteen year old heart break as he walked away from the scene of his first breakup.

“You stupid asshole!” he cried, running toward home, wiping his tears.

“Lars!?” he heard James’ voice and turned around. He saw his brother’s face coming out through the door of a car wash/service.

Lars wiped his tears and came closer to James who was wearing a mask on his face which he used when he painted cars.

“What’s up?” James asked, taking off his mask. “Why were you running like a mad man down the street?”

“Laura dumped me…” Lars said, looking pitiful.

“What?!” James asked, shocked. “That sucks, man!”

“Yeah…”Lars said, rolling his eyes. He looked at the car James had just finished painting. “What the shit is that?”

“Flames, you dick head!” James frowned, turning red.

The car was painted in shinny deep black with red-orange-yellow, lifelike flames on the sides.
Just then, James’ boss came in and looked at his creation.

“The client is here. What the shit is this?!” the boss asked, rising his voice.

“Flames, sir…” James said, not daring to look at the boss.

“Oh, my God!!!” they heard a female voice from the door.

James and the others turned around and saw a seventeen year old girl bouncing up and down.

“Miss, we are sorry for the inconvenience. We will give you a refund and...” the boss began to explain.

“Are you kidding me?!!!” she cried. “I LOVE IT!”

She came closer to check her car with fresh paint shining brightly on it. She put her hands over her mouth and began to bounce up and down again.

“Who did this?” she asked, out of breath.

The shocked boss pointed at James. The girl ran to James, jumped on him , crossing her legs around his back and planted a big kiss on his lips.

“Thank you!” she said, leaving James in shock. “Daddy will pay for everything.”

After the girl’s dad paid and the girl took her car, the boss turned to James.

“You never stop amazing me, James!” he said. “It’s risky to do what you did to that car. Flames in the 80’s?”

James smiled, turning red again.

“You know what? Take the day off!” the boss said.

“Thank you sir!” James said and took off, Lars following him.

“So what happened?” James asked Lars while walking home.

“She said that because of the distance we should split and I should find a girl that deserves me…”Lars said, starting to sob again.

James frowned looking at him.

“Dude! Don’t cry for a girl! The bitch doesn’t deserve it!”

Lars was still crying.

“Knock it off!” James yelled at his brother. “What are you? A girl? You should have ended this shit when she left to go to college. Long-terms suck!”

Lars frowned and wiped his tears.

“Yeah, you’re right.” he said.

A car stopped on the sidewalk and the owner toot his horn.
The two brothers turned around and saw the owner of the car getting off and coming to the.

“Hello, boys!” he said putting his arms on the two guys’ shoulders.

“Hey, Brian!” the two greeted.

“Am I glad to see you! Metallica’s going on tour!”

“What?!!” Lars and James asked at the same time.

“Yeah, we sold 1000 records. We must go on tour.” Brian said merrily.
Lars and James looked concerned.

“What? Aren’t you two happy?!”

“Yeah, but we haven’t told our aunt…” Lars began to explain

“Don’t give me the aunt shit again! If you guys want to be big, you have to go on tour and that means you have to break the news to the lil’ ol’ lady . What kinda metal gods are you if you’re afraid of your grandma?” Brian said.

“She’s our aunt… and we’re not afraid of her…”James frowned.

“Whatever. If you guys wanna be big, you gotta tell her, as soon as possible. Did I make myself clear?” Brian said, letting go of them and returning to his car.

James looked at Lars and Lars looked at James.

“We gotta tell Cliff…” Lars said.

Anytime there was a problem they would either tell their aunt or Cliff to fix it.

When they arrived home, Kirk and Mandy were sitting on the porch, both having their clothes and hair messed up. Mandy was petting Daddy, the wolf which was resting on her lap.

“I had a feeling you would still be here…” Lars said to Mandy who blushed.

“Metallica’s going on tour.” James said, taking a seat on the grass.

“What?!” Kirk and Mandy asked at the same time.

Poor Lars. :( But at least Laura broke up with him at the right time. He's going out on the road.

I loved how Brian teased them about being afraid of their aunt. I'd say that James is certainly having lots of luck with his flame detailing being a big hit, and Tallica going out on tour.

This rock! :horns2

Thank you girls sooo much for the replies!
Here's another chapter for you all:

Part 6:

Cliff rose his eyes from the guitar and bass magazine he was reading and looked at the kid’s nape. The kid had his teeth gritted and was rolling his eyes with boredom while he played an arpeggio over and over again, pressing hard on each key. Cliff realized that the kid would much rather be anywhere else but indoors, learning to play piano on that sunny June afternoon.
This kid’s mother must be thinking he’s a prodigy. The kid is bored to death!” Cliff thought.

He coughed to catch the kid’s attention. The kid turned away from the piano and looked at his teacher.

“Am I doing it wrong?” the kid asked.

“Yeah, that too. I was thinking…. you really hate this shit don’t you?” Cliff asked.
The kid rolled his eyes and nodded.

“You wanna learn to play the guitar?” Cliff asked folding his arms around his chest.

The kid’s eyes widened and a small smile appeared on his bored face.

“Yeah…” he said.

“I could teach you… only if you promise you won’t tell your mother or anybody else.” Cliff said rising an eyebrow.

“I promise!” the kid said.

“Now I need you to promise you won’t tell anybody about what I will do now okay?” Cliff asked.

“I promise! What are you gonna do?” the kid asked, visibly excited.

“If you lie, you nose will grow. Promise you won’t tell anyone?” Cliff asked again.

“Yeah, man.I promise I won’t tell.” the kid said. In a second, he felt his nose being pulled by an imaginary hand and he saw it grow bigger and bigger.

Cliff smiled.

“Sorry kid. Can’t trust you. Back to piano lessons.” he said.

No, no I swear I won’t tell. Really!” the kid said, his eyes widening as he touched his overgrown nose. The nose began to shrink and reached its normal size again.

“Like I said, if you tell, you’re nose will grow.” Cliff said.

The kid nodded.

“Let’s teach you how to be a rock star…” Cliff said, snapped his fingers and a guitar magically appeared in his hands.

The kid gasped and made a step back.

“Cool!” he whispered.

“We have a deal, right?” Cliff asked the kid.

“Sure!”the kid nodded, staring at the guitar.

Cliff was relived to see that the kid’s nose didn’t grow again.

“Okay, so this is a guitar. It has six strings that have different thickness…” Cliff began to explain to the kid.

Aunt Zelda walked along the market, checking the merchandise, when a familiar face caught her attention. A girl that was a bit taller than her, with black, long curly hair was talking to a guy that was selling fresh vegetables. She approached her and cleared her throat.

“Miss… excuse me if I’m wrong but is your name Sara? Sara Lee Montgomery?” the old woman asked.

The girl turned to her, her big brown eyes widening in shock. Zelda reached to the girl’s hair and put a lock behind her ear, revealing on her right cheek a small brown moll. The old woman startled seeing the moll.

“You look just like him….” she whispered.

“Excuse me?” the girl asked, visibly shocked. She looked at the short old woman in front of her, with green eyes and shoulder length gray hair. A small silver pentagram was hanged on a black thread on the old woman's neck. The girl gasped and tried to say something but no word would come out of her throat.

Zelda looked at her, lost in admiration, waiting for her to answer her question.

“…aunt Zelda?!” the girl finally asked.

Verity - August 29, 2008 02:55 PM (GMT)
Hey that rocked!!! You left me hanging. I wonder what the deal is with Sara and Aunt Zelda. Is Zelda Sara's aunt too? I'm going to have to wait and read to see. :)

Cliff giving piano lessons is badass. I know what it's like to have to be stuck teaching a kid who is as bored-as-fuck. There's no way to get their attention, and unfortunately unlike Cliff, I don't have a kick ass guitar that I can whip out.

I like how Cliff says "shit" in front of his students. I almost did that once. I had this 11 year old student and she played something really well and I almost went "that was badass!" but I caught myself and said "That was bad."
the poor student girl was like "what?" And then I had to explain that it was the good kind of bad.

Anyways, the chapter rocked out. :horns2

Oops, that was not supposed to be there. I get too carried away when I write I hope the kid understood what you actually meant
Hope things are fine there and gustav goes away.

Here's another chapter. It's gonna be a bit weird and veeery long so I'll cut it in two pieces. Please excuse the gramar/ spelling/punctuation mistakes(I was in a hurry)!

Part 7 (part A):

Zelda and Sara sat down at a table at the nearest café. The old woman studied the girl, her heart beating fast, waiting to hear what she had to say. Until a few years ago, she didn’t even know of Sara’s existence. The feeling of joy caused by seeing the young girl was shadowed by the feeling of guilt. Guilt because she wished she had met Sara earlier.
Sara couldn’t resist the impulse of hugging Zelda right after the two sat down.

“My dear…” Zelda said, tears rolling down her cheeks as she hugged Sara. “How are you?”

“I’m fine…” Sara said dryly, wiping her tears.

“Where have you been living all these years?” Zelda asked.

“At Madame Tzitzi. She discovered my power. I’ve been living with her in Hollywood since I was twelve. A few weeks ago we moved here. Now she’s dead and I thought it would be a good idea to continue her work and help other orphan girls learn some basic spells…” Sara explained.

Zelda smiled to her.

“My, my … you really are Kirk’s twin!” the old woman said.

Sara startled when she heard the name and looked down.
Zelda felt how the anger grew and grew inside Sara.

“Are *they* here?” she asked, gritting her teeth.

“Yes, they are. The wolf brought them to me. They’ve been living in my house for about ten years.” Zelda said.

“How are they?” Sara asked.

“They’re… grown up! They’re…very rebellious, just like your mother.” Zelda said, trying to smile.

“Oh, yes, mom…your sister…” Sara said faintly, looking away. Tears reappeared in her eyes.

“The boys told me she was captured by the witch hunters!” Zelda whispered, not wanting to hurt her.

“They burnt her alive. And we…we’ve witnessed it all…” Sara cried. Zelda took her in her arms and patted her back.

“I am so sorry, my darling! You’re mother never asked me to help her. She was stubborn. She thought she could raise five children with no help at all! I’m sure she was a great mother!” Zelda comforted Sara.

“Yes, she was. Sometimes, at night, she visits me in my dreams.” the girl smiled.

There was a moment of silence.

“You know…Just a few years ago, Kirk had the courage to tell me he has a twin sister. I was shocked! The other boys, Cliff and James don’t want to talk about what happened and Lars doesn’t remember. I fell like I net you too late. I wish I wee there for you when you really needed someone…” Zelda said.

Sara frowned and made a disgusted face.

“Sara…” Zelda said patting her back. “Will you tell me what happened?”

The girl closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

“…After mother died, we (me and the boys) ran away. Daddy leaded us to this house. We thought we found you but it was another witch that took care of us for a few years. As the years went by, we just couldn’t get along anymore…me and the guys. Kirk was on their side…” Sara began to explain but she stopped covering her face with her hands and letting out some pitiful sobs.

Zelda’s heart broke seeing her suffer.

“Then, one day…me and Kirk were twelve, Cliff was thirteen, James was ten and Lars was nine…We were still at that nice lady’s place…” Sara said, breathing heavily.

Zelda held her hand as the girl closed her eyes.

A very old memory came into her mind. She remembered seeing her twelve-year-old self in the mirror. Curly locks were falling over her shoulders and on her back. She was wearing a very cheap but clean dress. She turned away from the mirror and looked at her two step brothers, James and Lars. The rays of light were coming through the open window and were coming through the open window and dancing on James’ short straight golden hair. He was drawing something .Lars was at the table next to James , resting his little chin in his hands and admiring his brother’s work.

When the girl reached the door, James looked up at her and smiled sarcastically.

“Where are you going? To meet your boyfriend?” he asked, blowing her a kiss and laughing. Lars looked at Sara waiting for her reaction.

“I don’t have a boyfriend you pipsqueak! I’m getting out of this boring house. How can you stay in here, drawing … when mother’s killer’s are out there, alive?” Sara said.

“Mom said: don’t seek for revenge!” James frowned at her.

“Mom was dying. She was afraid we might get hurt if we try to do what is fair. We’re living miserable, she’s dead and her killers are out there and you live with that?” Sara cried.
James frowned; opening his mouth to answer to her but Lars covered his ears with his hands and cried:

“Stop fighting!”

“Good idea!” Sara said and walked out. She went for a stroll along the sidewalk in their neighborhood.
“Shame on you ,girl. Walking on the street in that dress. People might say you’re something else but an innocent girl. That is… unless you really are…”she heard an elderly woman say.
Sara looked down at her dress which fell just above her knees. It was a short dress which she had been wearing since she was eight … she couldn’t afford a new one.
Sara turned around to the hag that made the nasty remark and gasped, seeing her. The old woman was shorter than her, had a hump and a glass eye. She also had a hooked nose and wrinkles were covering her unpleasant face. She was wearing a long dress with long sleeves and a high collar.

Sara’s heart skipped a beat.

“I remember you! You killed our mother!” the little girl shouted. “You told those men to burn her and made us watch it!”

The old woman gasped.

“Witch!” she said with her spooky hoarse voice.

“Yes I am!” Sara said evilly. She grabbed the old woman’s shoulder and made them disappear into thin air.

This story reminds me of "Am I Evil." Which is a really brilliant theme for a Metallica story. I liked the twist with Kirk having a twin sister. It was cool getting some back info on Sara.

I can't wait to read some more of this and find out what exactly is up with Sara, Zelda, and who killed Sara and Kirk's mom.

Gustav is gone now, and I'm fine, but I have no power. I bailed to a hotel 3 hours away for 2 nights. :) I got tired of cold showers and having nothing to fucking do with business down, no TV or internet.

I'm glad that I got to read this bit though. :)

I have really big problems with my internet connection :angry
Ashley, I'm glad you're ok> I know how it feels to be bored and not be able to do anything about it. I hate that!
Thank you for reading!
Here's another piece of part 7

Part 7(part B):

They reappeared in the room where James and Lars were staying. Kirk had joined them. The three boys were shocked to see Sara’s ‘guest’
.
“What is sh..sh.. she doing here?! James stammered, looking at Sara
.
“I found her!” Sara smiled proudly. “And you guys will help me kill her!”

“But mom said…” James began.

“Mom is dead!” Sara interrupted. She turned to the cupboard and took out a long and sharp knife. She went to James, placed the knife in his hand and pointed at the shocked hag.

“Kill her!” Sara ordered.

“What?!No! It was your bright idea! Who the hell do you think I am, your slave?” James shot at her.

Sara frantically looked in the room. She saw the hag looking around for a door to get out, Lars who was shaking like a leaf and Kirk.

“Kirk. Kill her!” Sara ordered looking deep into Kirk’s eyes.

Kirk took the knife and looked around. He didn’t know what to do.

“Nooo!” Lars shrieked.

“Kirk, you don’t have to do what she says. She’s not the boss of you!” James shouted, covering Lars’ cries.

Kirk looked at Sara and then turned back at James.

“I…I can’t…”Kirk stammered.

“Give me that! This is a guy job. You should do it! She’s running away!” Sara shouted, taking the knife and running after the hag.

She reached her and thirstily stabbed her in the back.

Just then the door opened and Cliff came in. His eyes widened in shock when he saw Sara, laying on her knees next to the dead body of the old woman that captured and killed their mother. Sara was crying, wiping her bloody hands on her dress.

“I hate you!” she yelled, turning to James, Lars and Kirk.

“Oh, Sara…what have you done?” Cliff whispered, kneeling next to the dead woman.

Blood surrounded the body, flowing freely on the wooden floor.
Sara felt remorse. Soon after, the remorse turned into more hate.

“They didn’t want to help me…” Sara cried to Cliff. The oldest brother ran his hands trough his hair, thinking what to do.

“We should get rid of the body…” Sara suggested.

Seeing that no one replied, she turned to Kirk.

“Kirk Lee! Help me please!” she begged, sobbing.
Kirk made the body and all the blood disappear.

“You’re putting your slave to clean up the mess you made!” James said sarcastically.

“It won’t be long before people will start looking for her and the one that did this… They’ll find us here. Madame Selma will be in trouble because of us.” Kirk explained.

“Let’s run away!” Sara suggested.
They all looked at Cliff.

“Do we have a choice?” he sighed. “Pack your things! We’re going to find aunt Zelda!”

The twenty two year old Sara opened her eyes and looked at her aunt. She felt too weak to explain what happened.

“Don’t worry! I saw everything… You don’t have to explain…” aunt Zelda said, letting go of Sara’s hand.

“Oh, don’t you want to hear the most important part?” Sara said, frowning.

“Yes, I do!” Zelda assured her. “If you’re ready…”

“What difference does it make? Sara said.

She closed her eyes again. She remembered as she and her brothers ran away from Madame Selma’s ( the woman that took care of them after their mother died) house from San Diego.

Sara walked ahead of her brothers, followed by their faithful wolf, Daddy. She turned around and saw James telling Cliff something. Cliff looked at her, expressionless. Kirk and Lars were also listening looking frightened.
That night, as the five kids rested under a tree, near the highway that went to L.A., James turned to Sara:

“We’re gonna miss another school year because of you. Why the hell…”

“James… shut up!” Cliff said, exasperated.

“Thanks!” Sara told Cliff telepathically.

“I’m not doing it for you…” Cliff answered, taking bread out of his knapsack and cutting it in five pieces.
Sara opened her eyes again.

“He had the right to be angry. I should have listened to mom.”

“It’s good that you feel sorry, it’s a first step to conciliation.” Zelda explained.

Sara frowned .
“You know , aunt Zelda, they’re to blame too…”
She went on with her story:

“The next day, the guys asked me if I wanted to play hide and seek. I said yes. I accepted to be the one that seeks. So they blind folded me and made me spin…” Sara said. She sobbed a little and then took a deep breath, trying to continue. “But I kept spinning, and spinning and spinning. When I was finally able to stop, I looked around and they were gone…”

Zelda sighed and patted Sara on the back.

“They’ve abandoned me…” Sara cried.

***
Mandy banged her head sitting on the front lawn and listening to the guys who were rehearsing in the garage. She looked down the street and saw the black Cadillac finally appearing at the horizon.

The old woman parked the car on the lawn, in front of the garage and got out.
The boys saw her and stopped the music.

“Keep that down! It’s late!” Zelda warned them.

James coughed catching his aunt’s attention who was taking the groceries out of the car and handing them to Mandy.

“Aunt Zelda…” James said. “Cliff wants to tell you something!”
Cliff shot him an angry look.

Zelda took a deep breath. It has been a long day. She wasn’t in the mood for anymore news.

Verity - September 4, 2008 03:54 PM (GMT)
This story keeps getting better and better. I wonder what Cliff wants to tell Zelda. Poor Sara. She has been through so much. :( Her brothers were dicks for abandoning her like that. I loved reading her backstory. I really felt sorry for her. If someone had killed my mom, I may have done the same thing.

More soon me hopes? :biggrin

Ktulu - September 4, 2008 06:16 PM (GMT)
I have nothing better to do so I'll post another part.
I'm glad you like it , Ashley!
Things will get weirder and weirder  .

I know I tend to overcomplicate the plot (my bad, sorry!) so I feel I need to clarify that Cliff and Kirk and Sara and James and Lars have the same mother.

Thank you so much for reading!

Part 8:

After they finished dinner, James turned to Cliff.

“Tell her!” James ordered.

“Aunt Zelda… we have to tell you something.” Cliff said faintly.

Zelda took a seat on the couch.
“What is it?” she sighed.

“You know we used to play music in the garage…” Cliff began.

“I can hardly call that music…” Zelda said. “Mandy, what would you call that noise they’re playing?”

“I would call it speed metal, aunt Zelda.” Mandy smiled.

Zelda rose an eyebrow. She started to see Mandy in another light already.

“Anyway… we kinda made a band and we kinda made some demo tapes and people kinda liked them…” Cliff explained.

“And somebody offered to produce us. And we recorded an album a few months ago…” Lars added.

“What?!” Zelda asked, putting a hand on her chest. “You did what?”

“Aunt Zelda, we recorded an album…” James explained.

“Oh my… How did you pay for it?” Zelda asked, still in shock.

“We sold 1000 copies by now. Our manager wants us to go on tour.” Kirk said.

“Manager? For how long have you been keeping this a secret?” Zelda shouted.

“For like a year…” Cliff answered frankly.

“So what made you tell me now?! Remorse?! I doubt that!” Zelda shouted again.

“We want to go on tour, aunt Zelda…” Kirk said faintly.

“Please…” Lars said on a sweet ass-kissing tone.

Zelda didn’t know what to say. All eyes were on her and she just couldn’t think anymore. She had enough shocks for one day.

“I’ll think about it…” she said and got off the couch. “Kirk, please walk Mandy home. I need to sleep now…”

Kirk and Mandy got up immediately and left.

Lars felt that the battle was almost won so he happily went upstairs to sleep. He almost forgot about the breakup with Laura. As he lay on the bed, he made a promise that he won’t let any other girl let him down like that.

“What do you think, Cliff?” James asked. “Is she gonna let us go?”

“I don’t know… she looks shocked.” Cliff replied. “We’ll see…”

I'm glad you girls liked it. Thanks for reading!

Here's another part:

When the boys got up the next day, they found breakfast ready, as usual. It was Saturday so James and Cliff didn’t work. Kirk was already at Burger King and Lars just arrived from his job.

“So about that band of yours…” Zelda asked Cliff and James who were eating.

“What about it?” Cliff asked with his mouth full.

“Well, what’s the name of the band? Where is your manager sending you on tour? What’s the album called?” Zelda listed.

“The name of the band is Metallica. We’re going on tour around the States. The album’s name is…” James said but his voice faded when it came to revealing the shocking name.

“Yes…?” Zelda asked, rising an eyebrow.

“Metal Up Your Ass!” Cliff answered.

Zelda gasped but didn’t say anything. She was getting accustomed to finding out shocking new stories about her nephews.

“So… will you let us?” James asked after a brief silence moment.

“I don’t know… You boys have to prove me you can go and take care of yourselves. You have to earn my approval.” Zelda lectured.

James and Cliff frowned.

“Hi, auntie! I’m back!” Lars said, entering the kitchen.

“Hello Lars! How was your day?” Zelda asked merrily.

“It was great!” Lars smiled. He turned to his brothers.

“Did she say yes?” he asked them telepathically.

“Not yet…” James answered rolling his eyes.

“We have to earn her approval…” Cliff added.

“What do we have to do to make you let us go on tour, auntie?” Lars turned to his aunt.

“You can start by cleaning up the house!” Zelda replied, smiling.

The boys looked at each other with horror.
***
James dropped the bucket of water on the floor and kneeled. He sank a scrub in the bucket and was ready to do his job when…

“Don’t tell me you’ll clean the floor with all the furniture in the room. It’s like wasting your time…” Zelda lectured.

James rolled his eyes and with a single shift of his hands the furniture in the living room rose from the ground and remained suspended on the ceiling. He sank the scrub in the bucket full of water and detergent and began to scrub the floor.

Zelda nodded, smiling satisfied and stepped outside where Cliff was mowing the lawn. Lars was in the garage arranging shit.

Zelda had an idea to find out more things about the matter that bugged her since she came back home the other evening from shopping. She went to the kitchen, filled a glass with cold water and dropped a few drops of a potion in it.

“You must be thirsty…” Zelda said, handing James the glass of water.
James took the glass and drank it all as if it was a shot of vodka.

“I want to know more about your sister, Sara Lee…” Zelda said, watching James’ reactions. The guy turned to her with a shocked face. He frowned.

“There’s nothing to say…” he replied hastily.

Zelda waited one more minute, making sure that the potion will make its effect.

“Tell me what happened to her.” Zelda asked on a calm tone , checking her finger nails.
James didn’t raise his eyes from the floor.

“Sara Lee is Kirk Lee’s twin sister. She is evil so we had to let her go…”
James began to explain as if a magical force made him spit out the truth.

“What do you mean…let her go?” Zelda continued her interrogatory.

“Let me tell you something about Sara.” James said, dropping the scrub and looking straight in Zelda’s eyes. “It’s as if when she and Kirk where born, all the good in the world went to Kirk and there was no good left for her. She is evil! After mother was killed , Sara just lost it. We couldn’t get along… She was rude, evil, a sadist. She tortured Kirk and made him do her dirty work…”

“Oh, it can’t be that bad…” Zelda retorted.

“ She wanted to control us. But we had other plans… so we decided to set her free, let her do whatever she wants.” James explained. Zelda could feel anger in his voice, as if he had been keeping this for a long time.

“What exactly did you do?” Zelda asked.

“We left her on the side of the highway and took of to San Francisco.” James answered, going back to scrubbing the floor.

“You left your twelve year old sister on the middle of the road?!” Zelda burst.

James frowned.
“Yeah… But don’t worry; the hatred inside of her keeps her alive. I’m pretty sure she is somewhere killing people or giving orders to the weak …”

“Watch it! It’s your sister you’re talking about. She can’t be that bad…” Zelda said.

“She’s not my sister. We just have the same mother…” James shot.

“You insensitive, ungrateful child!!” Zelda shouted and left the room.

“She’s sure gonna let us go on tour now…” James thought running his hands through his hair. “What the hell were you thinking, you idiot! I should have kept your mouth shut!”

He looked around, saw the empty glass of water and sighed.

“No wonder …”he thought and went on scrubbing the floor.

Zelda went to check on Cliff who was in the back yard, mowing the lawn.

“Clifford, I need to ask you something and I need you to be honest. If you can be honest… I’ll think about letting you go on tour…” Zelda promised.

Cliff looked at her, waiting for her to ask.

“Shoot!” he said.

“About Sara Lee…” Zelda began.

Cliff rolled his eyes and went on mowing the lawn.

“I don’t want to talk about her. Why are you asking me this… now? Did you find her?” cliff asked, turning pale.

“Just answer my question…” Zelda said, avoiding an answer.

Cliff sighed.

“Let’s just say that after what we did to her, she wouldn’t be too happy if she found us.” Cliff said.

“What do you mean?” Zelda asked.

Cliff stopped and thought for a second what to do. He took a deep breath and left the lawn mower. He took a seat next to his aunt on the front step of the backdoor. Zelda sat next to him.

“So… after mother was killed, we walked for a while in a forest. We couldn’t go out of the forest because we were afraid mom’s killers would find us. The point is, I was just nine and I didn’t know what to say to her. She was nasty, mean, obnoxious and I didn’t know what to do to make it better. It was clear that she had a hard time dealing with mom’s death. She changed…. she became…evil. We couldn’t handle her. Not even Madame Selma (the woman that found us and raised us before mom died) couldn’t handle her.”

“So what did you do?” Zelda asked.

“We… left her on the side of the road and ran away.” Cliff answered hesitantly.

“That’s bad…” Zelda said.

“Yeah, I know. I’m pretty sure she hates our guts now. But then it just seemed like the best thing to do.” Cliff answered, still hesitant. After he finished explaining he got up and went on with his job.

Zelda went back inside. At least now she knew both sides of the stories. She sighed. It seems that her sister’s children have a lot of issues…

The living room floor was now sparkling.

“James.” Zelda began.

Her nephew looked up at her from the couch where he was resting.

“Aunt Zelda…about what I said: I’m really, really…”

“Let’s just not talk about that anymore…” Zelda interrupted James. “I want to listen to your record.”

James gulped.

“Are you sure?” he asked.

“Yes. I want to hear what my nephews are singing about.” Zelda said, taking a seat on the couch.

James went upstairs to take a record and brought it in the living room. He was terrified of how his aunt would react after listening to their songs.

Before he knew it, Zelda took the record from his hands and looked at the cover.

“Is this a toilet seat?” Zelda shouted.

James nodded, looking down.

“You’re free to go play. I want to listen to it alone…” Zelda told him. “Oh, yes. Tonight is bridge night. Go buy some crackers.”

That chapter was badass. I can't way for Zelda's reaction to the music. :) I love the thought of James and Cliff getting all domestic. I also liked hearing all sides of Sara's story. I wonder if she really became evil.

This story keeps taking all kinds of twists and turns and I like that. :) I like to be kept guessing.

Thank you girls so much for reading. My internet connection was fucked up again  .

Forgot to write 'part 9' on the last one

Here's another one:

Part 10:

“Come on, Lars! How hard can it be? Cliff learned the spell in twenty minutes when he was your age…” Zelda pleaded.

Lars rolled his eyes.

“Good for him. Auntie I’m bored. I don’t want to learn the transfer spell…” the boy whined.

“Just do it and then you can do whatever you want.” Zelda tried again.
Lars took the spell book and flipped through it, looking for a certain spell.

“Tonight you’re inviting your friends to play bridge, right?” Lars remembered and looked up from the spell book.

“Yes. Why?” Zelda asked.

“I was wondering… maybe you can let us go out tonight.” Lars smiled. “I’ll learn the spell faster if you promise you’ll let us go out….”

Zelda shook her head and smiled.

“Your mother would do the same thing when she was your age… she would blackmail our poor mother. I admired her courage. Sometimes she would get a little bit too wild.” she said.

“But you were always there to bring her with her feet back to earth, right?” Lars asked.

Zelda nodded.

“That means we can go?” Lars asked.

“If you learn this spell… of course!” Zelda assured him.

Lars happily went back to reading. After five minutes, he raised his head from the book.

“I’m ready!” he said very excited.

He got up. Zelda put an empty vase on the coffee table and a book above the chimney and turned to him.
Lars closed his eyes, concentrating on the objects. He murmured the spell and moved his hands upward. The vase disappeared and so did the book. A few seconds later, the book appeared on the coffee table and the vase appeared above the chimney.

Zelda clapped her hands.

“Great job!” she said happily.

“Aww, it was nothing…” Lars said with a false modest tone.

Just then James came in the living room, burping.

“James!” Zelda shot.

“What?!” James asked, sitting on the couch.

“It’s not polite to burp like that in front of a lady!” Zelda lectured him. “Why can’t you be more like your little brother? He learned the transfer spell faster than all of you!”

James rolled his eyes.

“Hooray!” he mocked.

Zelda frowned at him.

Before she could start lecturing him again, James changed the subject:

“Did you listen to our songs?”

“Oh yes…” Zelda said on a sarcastic tone. “Who wrote those lyrics?”

James pouted his lips.

“Why? They suck that bad?” he asked.

“I can’t say they suck but the themes…. how did you come up with them? Singing about murder and fights and drinking? In most of the songs I just couldn’t understand what you were saying!” Zelda explained.

“That’s because James likes to scream like an idiot all the time!” Lars shot turning to James who flipped him off. “What about the music, auntie?”

“It’s loud . Like I said, I wouldn’t quite call it music.” Zelda answered frankly.

James and Lars turned red. This was the first criticism they would get for their music and they had to handle it with dignity.

“So… it sucks.” James concluded.

“No! It doesn’t suck! But I’m old and I like other kinds of music. It’s not bad at all. For young people like you, it’s great!” Zelda said.

The boys brightened up a little bit.

“So you’ll let us go out tonight?” Lars asked.

“Alright. But be home by twelve o’ clock!” she warned them.

“Sure!” Lars said, getting up and kissed his aunt on her cheek.

I loved reading about Lars and his little spellbook. I could just imagine him perfectly with his long, whispy, hair trickling down his back and wearing some dark blue robe. :)

I'm glad that he showed Zelda. :)

I liked how James and Lars handled Zelda's criticism with dignity, and I liked how she said it was perfect for young people. :horns: Maybe she's not so bad after all.

Can't wait for more of this. That chapter was very entertaining. :)

Obviously I have nothing better to do so I'll post the another part.

Wow, never thought of that, but now that you mentioned it, it sounds cool. Lars would look cute in a magician robe :D
Here we go:

Part 11:

“What do you mean I can’t go out?” Cliff asked his aunt.

“You’re grounded, remember?” Zelda answered calmly, folding her arms around her chest.

Cliff ran his hands through his hair in despair. It was Saturday evening and the Metalli-boys were about to go out. Zelda’s bridge friends (old women, of course) started to arrive. However, when the boys told her they’re going out, she stopped Cliff, reminding him that he’s grounded.

“You’re kidding me…” Cliff shouted. “I’m 23! I have the right to go out whenever I want!”

He had been acting nicely all day, mowing the lawn and doing other chores and he was desperate to get out of the house and drink.

“Yes you are. But you live under my roof and you have to listen to me!” Zelda said, her voice tone increasing gradually. “So when you are going to have your own house and enough responsibility and experience to know that drugs are bad, then you will do what you want!!!”

Cliff remained shocked and motionless at Zelda’s reaction. What more could he say now?

“Oh come on, aunt Zelda…” James whined.

“Yeah, he’s been a good boy…” Lars pleaded.

“Pretty please!” Kirk added, with puppy eyes.

“The answer is no, boys. Clifford has to learn a lesson and he has to learn it on his own.” Zelda explained and turned to Cliff: “You take drugs, you stay home! I’ve ended this discussion!”

Cliff was devastated. He watched as his brothers left.

“Sorry, man…” James told him before taking off.

After the front door closed, Cliff began to knock on it, sobbing violently.

“Stop it! You’re pathetic!” Zelda said dryly.

Cliff got up disappointed that his last try didn’t work. He went to the kitchen, where six old ladies were gathered around the table and playing bridge. Some of them were smoking, so a small cloud of smoke was in the room.

“Clifford, the ladies would like some snacks!” Zelda said, still gazing at her cards and taking another puff of her cigarette. Yes, aunt Zelda was smoking! Unlike drugs and alcohol, cigarettes were allowed in her house…

Cliff smiled forcibly and went to the cupboard. He took a huge bowl, opened a bag of crackers and poured its content in the bowl.

“Here you go.” he said, as polite as possible. Before he went out of the kitchen, he took a cigarette out of the pack that was on the table.

“He’s a good kid, Zelda!” one of the old lady witches said, after she saw the bassist exit the kitchen. “Why are you so nasty?”

“I’m doing what’s right for him…” Zelda answered, taking another puff of her cigarette.

“You should quit smoking. It’s bad!” another lady suggested. “I don’t know about you girls but ever since Tzitzi died, I think more and more often about death…”

Zelda didn’t say anything. She couldn’t really say she got along with Madame Tzitzi. Zelda thought there was something wrong about that woman.

The old ladies continued to talk about death and wills.

Part 12:

Meanwhile, James, Lars, Kirk and Mandy were somewhere in the Bay area, running after one of those popular rolling cable cars.

“Wait!” James yelled after the cable car.

He managed to get on it as it slowed down. He pulled Mandy in and Kirk and Lars followed. It was almost empty.

The brothers and the girl took seats opposite two girls. One of them had long, black, straight hair and brown eyes and the other had brown hair and green eyes.

“Juicy…” the girl with black hair thought as she watched James lean his head on the glass behind him, breathing heavily because of the effort of running after the cable car.

“Meredith…” the brown haired girl telepathically attracted the black haired’s attention. “Do you see what I see?”

Meredith, the black haired girl, looked where her friend was looking: at Lars.

“Oooh! Talk about jailbait, Safra!” Meredith told Safra, telepathically.

Safra, the green eyed girl, kicked Meredith in the ribs and they both began to giggle.

James turned his blue eyes to Meredith, causing her to blush. Then he looked at the violin case that was resting on Meredith’s lap. Safra was going to see Meredith’s little orchestra perform in a small jazz bar downtown. Also, the club gave away free drinks for the orchestra members and friends, so Meredith thought it would make it up to her friend in case she didn’t like the show.

Meredith’s heart melted when she saw Mandy rest her head on Kirk’s shoulder. Kirk smiled and gently kissed his fiancé’s hair.

“Awww, I want some of that…” Meredith thought, watching the scene.

“Me too…” Safra interrupted her thoughts.

“Hey, you’re reading my thoughts now?” Meredith joked.

The two girls sighed after the boys and girl got off.

The Metalli-boys and Mandy went through a dark alley and entered an almost hidden door. They entered the bar where their manager took them once to see a band. The bartender knew the boys and everyone was nice in there. Now and then, cool underground metal bands would come and perform.

The bartender gave them some vodka shots and smiled at Kirk and Mandy.

“Congrats, you two! he said.

“Thanks, sir.” Mandy answered, smiling.

“ How’s your aunt?” the bartender asked, turning to Kirk.

“She’s fine.” Kirk answered, drinking his shot.

James turned away from Kirk and Mandy and looked at Lars.

“Auntie asked me about Sara today…” James said, as quiet as possible, avoiding Kirk hearing him.

“Really?” Lars frowned. “”She asked Cliff too!”

“You don’t think she’s here, do ya?” James asked.

“I don’t know…” Lars sighed. “The thing is I’ve been having a strange feeling lately…”

James drank another shot.

“Me too…” he mumbled.

“Well, well, we meet again.” said a familiar voice.

They all turned around and saw the manager, Brian.

“Hey, who’s the pretty lady?” Brian asked Kirk.

“Oh, this is Mandy, my fiancé. Mandy, this is Brian, our manager.” Kirk introduced the two.

“Nice to meet you. Well, boys? Has your aunt given you her approval?” Brian asked, turning to James and Lars. “Where’s Cliff? I haven’t seen him in ages!”

“We’re still working on it. And Cliff is grounded.” Lars explained.

Brian burst into a loud laughter.

“Good one…” he said, trying to stop laughing. “Cliff grounded. What is your grandma? A Nazi?”

“She’s not that bad! And she’s our aunt!” Lars spat at him.

“Whatever, man. Just get her fucking approval so we can finally go on tour!” Brian warned, turning serious.

“I told you we’re working on it.” Lars repeated.
Brian rolled his eyes and turned back to Kirk and Mandy.

“Is the guy treating you right?” he asked Mandy.

“Of course. Or else my parents will kick his ass.” Mandy joked and Kirk laughed.

“I can arrange a gig for you guys tomorrow if you can make your aunt let you sing…” Brian said, turning back to Lars and James.

“Tomorrow?” James asked. “Isn’t that too soon?”

“What? Are you scared? I said I can arrange you a gig. Just ask your aunt.” Brian answered, getting a bit pissed off.

I'm glad you liked it.

Here's another one:

Part 13:

Cliff got up from his bed when he heard a car stop in front of the house. He opened the window and looked outside.
His brothers were getting out of the manager’s car. The manager saw Cliff and waved at him.

“Hi, Cliff!” Brian yelled, waking up the entire neighborhood.

Cliff flipped him off.

Lars put his hand on Brian’s mouth.

“Schhhhh!!!! You’ll get us in trouble!” the drummer said.

“What, your aunt’s gonna ground you too? She should. It’s waaay past your bed time, mister!” Brian joked ,waving a finger at the drummer and took off.

James opened the door slowly, hoping his aunt didn’t hear the noise that Brian made. Just when Kirk closed the door behind him, a few seconds later, the light in the hallway was turned on.

“I said twelve o’clock!” Zelda lectured them, sitting at the end of the hallway and taping her foot nervously.

“But auntie…” Lars began, checking his watch. “It’s just…a quarter to one.”

“Theoretically, it’s still twelve o’ clock…” Kirk added.

Zelda shook her head.

“Get to bed, now!” she said on her familiar calm voice.

The guys went upstairs where they saw Cliff looking jealous at them.

“Cliffy, I looove you…” Lars said, hugging Cliff.

Cliff could feel the drummer smelled like alcohol, sweat and cheap perfume.
Lars let go of him and went to his room.

“Why is he so happy?” Cliff asked.

“I don’t know… why do *you* think?” Kirk answered, rolling his eyes and went to his room, yawning.

“Good night.” James smiled and left Cliff standing on the hallway, pissed off.
He turned around, entered his room and slammed the door behind him.

“Even my fucking nineteen year old brother scored tonight! And I was stuck here, serving crackers to some hags!” the bassist thought, getting in bed.

Although he was very peaceful and cool, the lack of alcohol, pot and social life made Cliff turn into a nasty, angry guy.

“My life sucks…” he thought. “My family sucks!” he retorted, staring blankly at the ceiling.

***
“Pllllease, auntie! Please!” Lars begged his aunt the next day at breakfast.
Aunt Zelda was holding her head in her hands, thinking.

“You can see us perform and then you can decide if you let us go on tour or not.” Kirk added.

Zelda sighed.

“Alright…” she said.

James sighed with relief and went to hug his aunt.

“I hope it’s not too loud. I’ll bring ear plugs.” she joked.

“It’ll be great. Just wait and see!” Kirk answered.

“Shouldn’t you guys practice?” Zelda asked.

“Of course.” James answered. He took another piece of toast and went in the garage. The others followed him short after.

When Zelda remained alone in the kitchen, she remembered the discussion from last night with her friends. The old woman thought that now that Sara was here, she should change her will.

“After all, she is a Montgomery girl…” she thought. The Montgomery family was very old, and included generations and generations of famous witch girls. Her sister’s boys were the first boys born in this family that had powers.

Zelda took her purse and went out to go visit her niece.
