It's hard for me to choose a favourite TBH at the moment i guess i'm listening to more 1349 than anything else
but i love Gorgoroth, just hate the path they're travelling at the moment, as well as classic bands like Mayhem, Darkthrone, old Emperor, old Satyricon & Burzum - and stuff like Graveland, Sothis, Marduk etc I guess you can count old Behemoth in there too obviously they're death metal these days (still kick ass too) and also old Dissection.

pretty much the same, just throw in some Behexen, Carpathian Forest, Nattefrost, Anorexia Nervosa, Shade Empire (tho its not just Black) , and Dimmu Borgir but I like their older norwegian stuff better..and so on, there is so many good black metal bands.

I'm into alot of death metal, blackened death metal.. stuff like that too.

Very true, there's been a resurgence in the last 5-6 year of good stuff coming out finally.
At the same time alot of the older bands are going more mainstream which sucks but they've gotta make a living i supose.
Noticed bands like Watain, Vesania etc gettng more recgonition which is completely derserved and long time coming too.

Yeah, Vesania is a fucking great band! I would never have started listening to it if I wouldn't have started listening to Behemoth (no shit)
And it's great that these bands are getting the attention they deserve, but that doesn't have to to mean going mainstream ofocurse.

Moonsorrow is also a really good band.

Yep same here, when Tomasz joined Behemoth that led me onto Vesania, he's a talented guy (and also really nice to talk to) - in fact Adam/Inferno & Seth are hugely talented too - i'm actually really pleased that Behemoth are getting the attention they deserve because they've worked SO hard to get there, i first saw them about 7 years ago and they were so determind to get somewhere so it's good to see their fan base getting bigger all the time.

I have to say the most disappointed i am is with Satyricon, i can't believe still that Sigurd signed them to Roadrunner and i told him so when i saw them a couple of years ago - he reckons it's for the good of the band and not the money but i don't believe a word of it - just glad that Kjetil's got 1349 to keep his honour ha ha!

Yeah I agree, they do really deserve it.
I saw them for the first time this summer, but it was a really amazing gig, and it was at a festival.

I was really hoping that Behemoth was gonna have a signing session at the festival but they didn't.

I haven't gotten into Satyricon that much, but I like all the stuff I've heard.

I've met the whole band - they played at a tiny tiny venue near me about 5 years ago and there was about 100 people there watching them, half of whom didn't know who they were and the other half didn't care and so they came off stage and sat drinking with about 20 of us for about 3 hours afterwards...would never happen now as they're huge!
